Re: How often do you visit your site? 382Nov 04, 2013 11:31 am I think most people are talking about having a look from outside the fence. I doubt anyone really has a proper site visit every week. If I was the builder and the owner was there every week... id be annoyed! I drive past our site a couple times a week because we just started and its all exciting. But I've only actually been on site once to get a landscaping quote. Re: How often do you visit your site? 383Nov 06, 2013 5:01 pm Aware of the risks having owner built in the UK but if the builder actually put temporary fences around the sites as the building permits states they should then we couldn't get in to look round ! They dangle the carrot leaving them open to all !! My Baldivis Build: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=67953 Re: How often do you visit your site? 385Nov 08, 2013 10:50 am I go visit almost everyday. Often, there are tradies working and finally we got told off by our SS to not come visit the site too often especially when the tradies are working. Apparently the tradies reported our visits to SS. haha Re: How often do you visit your site? 386Nov 12, 2013 9:01 am Our land is yet to title (April/May 2014) so as you can imagine there isn't much to see when visiting the site. We like to drive past 1 or 2 times a week, just to see if there are any small changes happening and how the overall development stage is coming along! follow my instagram for progress: @tashmurtagh building in Mernda Villages, Victoria - land contracts signed on 16/11/13 - land titles Apr/May 2014 Re: How often do you visit your site? 387Nov 19, 2013 6:26 pm We have only been 6 times since we put down an EOI about 5 weeks ago. I am sure the visits will be more frequent once it has settled and we actually start the build!! Hoping to start a building thread soon, that will most certainly require daily visits!! I'll take liberty thanks. Re: How often do you visit your site? 389Nov 20, 2013 3:21 pm Just been invited to the builders end of year christmas party. So I guess they like us. Nonna's Nest House set for completion November 2013 Re: How often do you visit your site? 390Nov 26, 2013 11:15 am Daily. If I could hire a caravan and camp outside, I would do that too. Re: How often do you visit your site? 391Dec 13, 2013 3:11 pm I go once a week so it looks like things are happening. Going everyday would annoy me seeing the slow pace the builders seem to work at. https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=64434 Building our own custom design based on the Elwood by Dale Alcock Land settled - November Plans submitted to council - January Prestart - March Slab - 18 September Brickies - 23 October Re: How often do you visit your site? 392Jan 14, 2014 2:57 pm Daily!!!! Re: How often do you visit your site? 396Jan 24, 2014 7:59 am We tend to go twice a week. Glad we are building over summer, not winter, so if we get there at 8pm it's still daylight. I couldn't imagine going less than at least once a week. It's our biggest ever investment, I want to keep an eye on it.
