Browse Forums Windows & Doors 1 Nov 02, 2013 9:35 pm Hi Everyone, We are almost at handover and have been getting some ridiculous quotes for blinds and shutters from the local stores here. Has anyone dealt or considering dealing with online companies ? So far we are looking at Blinds On The Net Lux Timber but I'm sure there are stacks more. Anyone got any feedback on the two companies above or can recommend some others ? Re: Online Blinds and Shutter Companies 2Nov 02, 2013 11:01 pm Have a look at Katrina from the Block's blog - she used www.iseekblinds.com.au http://www.katrinaleechambers.com/the-w ... ht-online/ Re: Online Blinds and Shutter Companies 4Nov 07, 2013 10:11 pm Hi Caxam, I recently ordered 3 blockout roller blinds with pelmets from http://www.blindsonline.com.au. I found the measuring instructions, delivery time for samples and subsequent delivery time for the blinds to be great (arrived within 2 weeks of my order - I could have chosen their "express" 3 day service with limited fabrics but I wasn't in a huge hurry) I also found them a snack to install......in fact I think it took me longer to unpack them than it did to install each of them. I can't comment on price comparisons as didn't get quotes from local suppliers, but if you go onto the website they quote on the spot when you put measurements in and select a material type.....that way you can compare the quotes you have against theirs. As I said, the installation was super easy and I would certainly use them again if the need arises. Good luck! I spent a lot of time getting quotes (both face to face and online) prior to our colour selection. At colour selection, I thought I would for comparison get a price on the builder to install blinds. I was very surprised and happy to say that the builders quote was on par with all the others. I went with the builder suppling and installing the blinds. I can move in to a house with window coverings and don't need to find temporary coverings and as they are in the contract and installed by the builder, they now fall under the builders 7 year warranty. Re: Online Blinds and Shutter Companies 6Nov 12, 2013 10:21 am I haven't really dealt with online stores for blinds and shutters, as I'm worried that everyone will say they're great and then I'll receive them and they won't be all that. Unless you actually know someone who has used one of these businesses, I would not recommend buying online (I've been burnt for other products). This way, you can organise to go to their house and check out the quality of the blinds and shutters before purchasing. Otherwise, I recommend checking whether the online stores offer a returns policy. Make sure you read it thoroughly, as you may be able to return your purchase if you aren't happy with it (just remember that you may lose the shipping costs or may not get a full refund depending on the issue and your store).
