Re: Porter Davis homes 8394Oct 29, 2013 10:46 am All the best Inglewood for the pour. Exciting. Just caught up on a week of forum activity. Lots happening. We are STILL unpacking! Waiting for phone connection also so no Internet for computer, just my mobile. Lots happening. Driveway is prepped, being poured Friday. Pool now has a fence, electricals set up, filters going on next week, heavy duty cover removed just now. The water looks erky!!!! Couple of weeks it will be all cleaned up. Re: Porter Davis homes 8396Oct 30, 2013 6:45 am Hi Everyone, I've been reading the forum for quite a while now and looking at everyone's kitchens and bathrooms for inspiration. I'm building the Montague 19 with extended kitchen, garage and master bedroom with my partner Jade for our first home. We had our site scrape on Monday which was very exciting after losing 6 months and a fair chunk of money on Rivergum Constructions! I have to say PD have been great through the whole process. We only signed our contracts on 29/09 and already at site! Is anyone building a similar sized house with PD that may be able to tell me if we might get to lockup before Christmas? Thanks Brian Re: Porter Davis homes 8397Oct 30, 2013 7:59 am Hi Brian, I'm also building an access house. Just for your reference we had a site start date of 28th of August, and we were at lock up on 18th of October. Good luck http://chrysteeporterdavis.blogspot.com.au/ Re: Porter Davis homes 8398Oct 30, 2013 2:40 pm Great news on christmas date skye! Scaffolding came down today looks much more real without it, plaster starts next week And the finished render looks awesome! Tones completely dependant on how bright the day islove the effect Re: Porter Davis homes 8399Oct 30, 2013 6:04 pm So jealous clairemumto5! Our eaves only started today. Roof scaffolding down yesterday so at least there is progress. Re: Porter Davis homes 8400Oct 30, 2013 8:31 pm Yay Claire... That is great news... Your house looks amazing... I cant wait til our scaffolding comes down either.. We had a catch up with our SS last week.. All going well on our front. He is such a good bloke. He said that plastering was starting this week, then after that they will do stairs, cabinets and then painting.. He expects that to be finished by approx. 18th November... And the way he works I don't doubt it. We still don't have a garage and we now have to have a retaining wall built first but all very positive. Im loving this building experience so far! Three options 1 Ask the liquidator 2 Find another PD customer and ask the source of their report 3 Pay for new report 3 12269 Ask for references and speak to them. If they are defensive or try to avoid the request, walk. 1 74682 I would never build with Fowler homes. I built with them in 2021 and till date maintenance issues are pending.
