Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Jul 28, 2013 11:29 am So we jumped in the deep end yesterday and signed up for a house and land package in Whiteman Edge with Celebration Homes. We're first home builders but very very happy with CH so far. My only concern is my partner has convinced me to go with vinyl floors through the living areas over tiling. Does anyone know what the range we have to choose from is like? Re: Celebration Homes First Timer 2Jul 28, 2013 12:40 pm Hi We to are building with celebration homes in Whiteman edge. We were going to go with vinyl as we wanted to put wood floors in later but since changed our mind. As for range I don't know with vinyl we got tiles and I found one a really liked. Did you buy in the new stage released yesterday? Celebration Homes, Whiteman edge Re: Celebration Homes First Timer 3Jul 28, 2013 3:31 pm Yep, lot 770 on Syon Way! We only registered interest on Wednesday so really weren't expecting to get into this release but there was hardly anyone there. Maybe the weather put everyone off? Where abouts is your block? Re: Celebration Homes First Timer 4Jul 28, 2013 3:55 pm We are on Mayfield in a 360sqm cottage block. Bricks were delivered Tuesday just gone so hopefully they start soon. We brought our block in November and had to wait until April for titles to be released Celebration Homes, Whiteman edge Re: Celebration Homes First Timer 5Oct 15, 2013 11:30 am So we've finally officially applied for finance and have plans and contracts in our hands. We have noticed a change though fro the preliminary sketches we signed that we haven't been asked/told about. In the plan above they've moved it to the side. Could this be something to do with the 6 star energy rating? Re: Celebration Homes First Timer 7Oct 22, 2013 12:09 pm I'd ask for it to be moved and now! I missed one of our windows being moved and by the time I did it was too late to move it. If its about 6 star energy they should say something. Though the window would face north looking our the back which I would have though is a good thing Re: Celebration Homes First Timer 8Nov 02, 2013 12:33 pm All sorted now, because that wall is so close to the back fence we couldn't have such a large window on that wall. We had prestart on Wednesday (record time, 90min!) and conditional finance through on Friday. Crossing fingers now for unconditional through next week some time! Re: Celebration Homes First Timer 11May 06, 2014 11:52 pm Hey Amydorothy Yay for titles and settlement. Sounds like things are starting to happen.
