We've had a our heart set on a block but our solicitor has today informed us that it is in a mine subsidence area that will likely require some extra approval and a greater slab etc.
Has anyone had experience with this before? If so how has it affected:
1. the build cost
2. the cost home insurance
3. getting finance through banks
Is there something else I have missed that I should look into?
The only information I've been able to get is from the Mine Subsidence Board NSW that seems to indicate that the entire suburb we are building in as well as all surrounding suburbs would be affected - does this mean that every plot in that area would be affected in a similar way?
Any and all advice appreciated.
