Our block is pure fast draining sand, the pipe work getting clogged is much more likely to cause an issue than the soak well filing. We're hoping for plate high this week, fingers crossed. It looks like mainly internal work to do, but I think they have at least 2 more days to go. We met with the ss recently, he predicted late Feb for keys. navs dalan The soakwells are a bugbear of mine. Because our house is a little below ground level and we couldn't have an overland flow path we had to kick in an extra $5k for these monstrous things to handle a 1 in 100 year rain. Our site is sand and drains away very fast. It's incredible we had to do this but we couldn't get around it unless we were to raise the entire site up It rained today and rain is forecast for the rest of the week. Fingers crossed it keeps up and we get a nice slow cure. We had to raise the pad and it ended up costing us an extra 6k for that plus retaining - bloody councils with their 1 in 100 year rains Great progress on your site though, will be following your thread and hopefully won't be far behind you. Fancypants - I completely agree, our CLO has been lovely but definitely feel like we have to be on top of things (and her) or things won't get done. Re: Custom Build with Dale Alcock WA - Bricklaying started.. 99Sep 24, 2013 4:21 pm Our clo is great also. Personally dont expect the clo to know every detail of what is going on, but the ss should definitely know that. Our clo has been quick to rectify issues, so we're happy on that front. Were lucky enough that the site is on the way home so I check it pretty much daily so I'm always ahead of the clo and ss... fancy pants Yep, that's exactly what ours looked like. You can see the level of the termimesh the whole way around the house because it sticks out a tiny bit. You should be able to easily confirm if it's there or not. I agree with your communication comment. You have to be proactive on that front and query EVERYTHING. There's no free flowing information coming our way either. And while our CLO is a lovely person (very friendly, polite and approachable) there are days when I am convinced she has no idea whatsoever in regards to what's going on! Re: Custom Build with Dale Alcock WA - Bricklaying almost do 100Sep 24, 2013 5:20 pm Looking forward to getting a SS - how long after the slab goes down does one get appointed? I think it's the luck of the draw who you get, some people in the process have been amazing, professional and on the ball. Some not so much. Our new house is about 5mins from our current house so I plan to be a regular and annoying visitor at least every week, hope my ss doesn't mind https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=64434 Building our own custom design based on the Elwood by Dale Alcock Land settled - November Plans submitted to council - January Prestart - March Slab - 18 September Brickies - 23 October My land is 260m2 (10m x 26m) located in claymore NSW. Under campbelltown council. I know in general the following setbacks would apply ground floor side setback =… 0 7147 I'd get the gutters to match your roof and pipes to match the paint - otherwise they become a feature. Nice pick with the paint colours! 1 34825 6 56161 |
