We are building in heritage park and are building with Home Group WA We just got our prestart file. Is so hard to pick which tiles or colours to go with. We have been to the tile shop 2x's and are planning on going back soon! We have done the carpets and know the brick choice ( Kington by austral) We find the not knowing the cost of upgrading tiles until prestart day hard to work with So we have been told to have Plan A and a Plan B What did you guys do about upgrading the tiles and not knowing the cost until prestart? We are getting the wet areas and living areas tiled by our builder. Thanks for you help! Land 20/09/2013 Hey cupcakes We had a base price of $44sqm for tiles and anything above that amount was an upgrade! You should have in amongst your paperwork a base price for your tiles. We accidentally picked one that was $50sqm & it added approx $3000 to our costs (we are doing 2m high tiling to the bathrooms though). Needless to say I went back & picked a tile within the $44sqm budget! LOL Cheers Our RedInk Build Thread - viewtopic.php?f=31&t=64118&p=1004131#p1004131 ** Timeline Page 1 Moved In - 19.12.13 Re: WA - Baldivis/Waikiki Group Chat 709Nov 06, 2013 2:44 pm Tiles add a huge expensive. But we desperately wanted those tiles so were prepared to pay. Now that they're done I'm so glad we did as they were definitely worth it to us... Our main floor tile in kitchen, family, meals and hallways are $50m2 and are 60x30. In the ENS the tiles are rectified tiles we know this will blow our budget of control so we have a planB. Our plan B is to use the tiles from the main bathroom which are the same colours but not as nice. We are having black floor tiles and white wall tiles with no feature tiles. Re: WA - Baldivis/Waikiki Group Chat 713Nov 10, 2013 10:54 am For all you Parkland Heights-sters out there......have you seen the pricelist for the new release? The larger blocks are selling for well up over $300k, and the smaller for well over $200k (for example, 396sqm for $212k). How much has the land gone up? Amazing! Have been quoted from both with a $1300 difference....really just wanting quality workmanship and reliability with whomever we go through.... Just haven't really heard much about either ......any help would be great! Sadly, we are still not in our home 13 months after signing contracts. We are now officially running over the completion date we were given and now won't get our keys until next year but I am just glad to see the end of the process and cannot wait to get in.
