Hello everyone,
I have been reading this forum for about three months now and decided to start my own thread
Originally I have signed the building agreement with SA Housing Centre (Hickinbotham Group) to build Irvine and paid the deposit on 22 June. I have also paid the deposit on the land at Elizabeth Park. The finances were pre-approved by Keystart finance and the land will be the part of the package. Everything looked so bright then. Than the waiting game started. I am learning to be as patient as possible but it is so hard At the time of the signing of the agreement I was not aware of some things which led to the drama at a later time. I just was not prepared for those things. On a good note, soil report has been done and footing report should be available as soon as the master plans for the new home are drawn. I have done most of the selections in the past two months so just a few minor things left at the moment. I have also got some prices on upgrades from the selection center consultant.
Long story cut short, I have made a decision to move from SA Housing Centre to Statesman with the help of the consultant George Giannakakis. As I have mentioned in another thread, I am so thankful to him for all his help. So I have looked through the floor plans again and really liked Greenock. The only problem is that it will not fit on my block with the double garage. Yesterday I have sent George the list of modifications I would like to do on Greenock and he already sent me the preliminary plan back. I am back to the square one but I still feel positive and look forward to have the house built.
