Hi,
My wife and I have just purchased an interesting block of land - it's a funny shape, has a power transmission pylon to the back and is a bit below street level.
It is, however near the top of a hill, sloping down towards the right (looking at the property from the street), and our neighbour on the downward slope is a single storey. About 500 - 1000 metres away is a reserve.
I would love to design our house to make the best use of the block, such as ignoring the power pylon and having a second story balcony facing the reserve, for example. As well as speaking to project builders and architects, I'd like to play around with a home designing package.
The thing is, I need to be able to model our house, our neighbours house exterior and the reserve, including all of the elevations, etc. oh, and I need to be able to model the sun/shadows throughout the year. I need to walk around inside the house and see if the views are good.
I've had a look at the website and reviews for CA Home Designer Pro, TurboFloorPlan3D and Punch Home and Landscape, but can't quite determine which, if any, can best do this.
Has anyone had experience doing this kind of thing in any of these (or other sub $500) packages?
Thanks so much!
