I wrote and said I'd been holding my breath and I need to breathe now. Email came straight back to say we have been allocated an "OK to Start" date (today)! Yay. It also says the site works and footings generally commence within 4-6 weeks, so I was getting ahead of myself. Never mind, at least it's the next step. Woo hoo! That is why we were so surprised!! Didn't go past the house today as it was too wet and the traffic along Pt Wakefield road was horrendous. Will be going tomorrow for sure though!! Look forward to seeing how your build goes! I like your facade concept - love the colours! Re: _lucinda's house 215Aug 23, 2013 10:26 pm I really love your façade too, I think it's SO cute. I saw the house I was telling you about today but was so late for work I couldn't take a pic, hopefully I can tomorrow...however it's got the opposite ratio. I think yours is going to be lovely...the dark bricks anchor the render initially I was confused as I thought you were getting 1/3 brick and I preferred the other way around but seeing the mock up I think both options are lovely Here's to hoping you're not waiting 4-6 weeks ;D and why are things released on Fridays? Why to drive us crazy of course! HD Re: _lucinda's house 218Aug 25, 2013 11:07 am Thanks RagnarsWife, AmyMumma23, Hachy, Joane (rain rain go away! ), Panacotta, LittleWing and Zub13. Thanks so much for those pics, too LittleWing, that's going beyond the call of duty. Re: _lucinda's house 219Aug 25, 2013 2:36 pm Congrats lucinda! We too were told 4 to 6 weeks but footings pretty much started straight away. Can't wait to see it all come together Re: _lucinda's house 220Aug 25, 2013 9:46 pm _lucinda Thanks RagnarsWife, AmyMumma23, Hachy, Joane (rain rain go away! ), Panacotta, LittleWing and Zub13. No worries Lucinda, I always have my phone with me when going on my walks so it was no trouble see they're pretty cute aren't they?? HD You’re on the right track, wire brush in a grinder then a zinc rich epoxy primer then a top coat of some sort, like a waterproofing membrane. Raising the concrete would… 1 7030 How good is Simeon?! Always taking time to help others out! Wish we were building in NSW and could work together. Thanks for all that you do! 7 6563 Really tight at the top of the stairs- how to get furniture into those rooms? Study books - does anyone really use them these days? Large storage closet would be more functional. 2 6884 |
