Bricks and frames arrived the other day also Re: Dale Alcock Homes - AVELEY 2013 14Aug 31, 2013 8:49 am It seems the bobcat/backhoe or whatever was used on-site has caused some damage to the slab whilst driving over it Builders reply recently received is Quote: I have liaised with your Site Manager and our Concrete team and I have been advised that, because the slab is very long, we are required to put in a construction joint. lA construction joint is put in so the slab purposely cracks along this line and not anywhere else when the slab is curing. We have termi-meshed underneath to suit. It will not have a structural impact and will still be covered under our lifetime warranty. There are two construction joints in the slab, you may find the other one may crack throughout construction however there is nothing to be concerned about. I wound up calling Termi-mesh QLD instead and got my answers Here's the trafficable soak-wells before being put in, they seem to be made out of some composite type plastic material along with concrete and reinforcing looking at the internal of the damaged one? Have they been cut off and capped yet? The explanation for the slab seems fair enough although that crack looks crazy big, it must be horrible to look at. Here's hoping you have some smooth sailing form here on out. Apart from frames etc arriving all looks the same No repairs to PVC yet, hopefully neighbourhood kids are not dropping rocks in, sand should eventually wash into sewers Re: Dale Alcock Homes - AVELEY 2013 19Sep 09, 2013 10:18 pm Any news on a brickie Redstorm from Dale Alcock? it's starting to drive me mad The last update I had last week was that they were still waiting for all materials to arrive on site and the site manage wouldn't arrange a brickie until everything was there. Not sure what they are waiting for because it all seems to be there to me, but not that I would know any different. Damp coursing was applied to edge of pad a week ago , so here's hoping the first couple of bricks go up soon. I think termi-mesh then come back Broken PVC still in-situ and the crack has widened Ask for references and speak to them.
