Hopefully won't be long before were onto bricks, based on a couple of people on the forum a couple of weeks later the bricks are delivered. Congrats on your slab Wildcats...wonderful news From slab to bricks it was 2 weeks for us , then another 2 weeks for brickies, however that was with the Easter break and some heavy rain , so they probably would have started sooner if it wasn't for that. I wrote all my dates down in the C.H file where it has the 0-26 weeks regarding the stages of construction. It's handy to look back on. ....though you have a thread so will prob document it all anyway Re: Landsdale Corimbia Build - Celebration Homes 67Aug 08, 2013 9:08 am Still playing the waiting game, but I suppose the bad weather of late hasn't helped! Went past last night and we have our bricks and window frames delivered just waiting for some bricks to start going up! Fingers crossed we have some progress when we go past on the weekend as it's been 3 weeks since we got our slab down. Hopefully we will have the same, I believe it should all kick off for us both next week as their is some slightly better weather due next week so hopefully that will help us out! Re: Landsdale Corimbia Build - Celebration Homes 69Aug 08, 2013 1:28 pm Hang in there Wildcats....it was 4 weeks for us between slab and brickwork starting. Weather is a pain atm, might set you back a few days ...but hopefully it will still be next week sometime. Re: Landsdale Corimbia Build - Celebration Homes 70Aug 12, 2013 11:12 pm We are building with celebration aswell and have pre start next week! Re: Landsdale Corimbia Build - Celebration Homes 71Aug 13, 2013 10:32 am Noodles2013 We are building with celebration aswell and have pre start next week! Exciting times Noodles! What design are you building? We went up on Saturday and nothing had been done on ours. Probably won't have a chance to get up there until Friday so hopefully by then our bricks have started! Re: Landsdale Corimbia Build - Celebration Homes 72Aug 15, 2013 1:27 pm Went past again last night, we now have sand delivered but still no bricks laid. Tomorrow will be 4 weeks since our slab went down so getting a bit frustrated. We are going to check again tomorrow and if nothing is still done I think we will need to chase up what is happening. Communication was good early on but lately have kind of been left in the lurch and not been told what is going on. Re: Landsdale Corimbia Build - Celebration Homes 73Aug 15, 2013 3:31 pm Lets hope your builder is getting ready for the nice weather forecasted for next week. The weather has highly likely had an impact this week, we are in the same boat as you but we have not been to our block so not sure if anything has been done. Did you get confirmation from your Client Liaison that they were going to start brickwork? Did you get confirmation from your Client Liaison that they were going to start brickwork? Yeah, I got that email on the 27th of July, though my slab had already been laid at that stage. Re: Landsdale Corimbia Build - Celebration Homes 77Aug 19, 2013 12:16 pm Still nothing done Have contacted them and have been advised we are still a couple of weeks away from bricks starting. So if they mean a couple of weeks is 2 weeks that would be 6 weeks from slab down to bricks starting. We are getting fairly frustrated atm Re: Landsdale Corimbia Build - Celebration Homes 78Aug 19, 2013 1:42 pm Wildcats Still nothing done Have contacted them and have been advised we are still a couple of weeks away from bricks starting. We are getting fairly frustrated atm Thats a bummer Wildcats, you scared me for a moment as your the second person I know to say that, but I just contacted the team and they have said I am starting today, sorry to be happy in your sad moment. Hopefully the brickies catch up quick for you. But there are plenty of stories around about CH catching up with later work to get you in on time Re: Landsdale Corimbia Build - Celebration Homes 79Aug 19, 2013 11:52 pm Great news for you Eddie...not so much for poor Wildcats!! It's annoying when they say " a few weeks" what does that mean like you said!? I think the rain has played a part, but yes once brickwork starts it will be go, go, go....and yep they do tend to catch people up from my experience. But I know how much of a pain it is to just have to wait, as you just want to see something happening!! We were fortunate enough to meet our brickie before he started on our house, as he was doing the house next door, so we knew exactly when he was starting and finishing, which was handy as we didn't have a lot of communication with our CL. So maybe stalk some C.H brickie teams in your area.... Re: Landsdale Corimbia Build - Celebration Homes 80Aug 22, 2013 9:21 am Well an interesting turn of events it seems they have started the bricks yesterday as we drove through Corimbia to have a look. So happy their few weeks turned into a couple of days. Finally progress! So excited Thank you so much everyone. This all makes a lot of sense.
