Re: Our Hamilton23 with Carlisle - Cabinets are in! 53Jul 18, 2013 8:38 am The gaps around the alfresco and laundry doors are ok. They get filled in later on when the full facing for the doors is done. We had the same question at our place. It will be fine. Windows - not so sure. Would be asking about that. In most cases there is a reason and explanation for this stuff. They'd save themselves some time and us some stress by warning you ahead of time. Re: Our Hamilton23 with Carlisle - Cabinets are in! 55Jul 19, 2013 9:47 am hey Hamilton23, was there any issues regarding moving the manhole from WIR to garage? thinking of doing the same. Re: Our Hamilton23 with Carlisle - Cabinets are in! 56Jul 19, 2013 1:33 pm They said no, but they haven't got it right yet, so we will see! lol It shouldn't be a problem because they agreed to moving it (before Contract stage), but I think I might have to push them to get it in the garage. At the moment we still have a manhole in the WIR, that they have to close up and fix. I don't think they will do it until the last minute though, because they cannot put the manhole in the garage until the garage door is on (due to obvious security issues, I don't want just anyone climbing around in my roof!) I'm hoping to be able to look in the windows this weekend and get some more pics to show! Ah yeah security reasons, that would be too funny if you found someone living up there. can't wait to get the update and see more pics Re: Our Hamilton23 with Carlisle - Cabinets are in! 58Jul 22, 2013 1:59 pm Well, went out on the weekend and saw some square tiles in the house (not yet laid). Thought to myself and told everyone, we didn't choose square tiles for the floor, we had rectangle ones. Checked our paper work this morning, doh apparently we picked square tiles! I really though we'd picked rectangle ones for the floor of the wet areas. Hope I like them when they are done! This weeks progress: (pics to come later) - down pipes connected to drains - outside light connected (although it is fitted over the down pipe bracket and the sensor already had water in it! ) - More painting done, inside looks finished, outside not so much. Garage still needs another go and doors and all wood. - Front door has a chip, it might need replacing - Maybe tiling has started? Can't see into the bathroom or toilet, translucent glass works a treat - All heating vents and heating unit in (very excited to see a digital thermometer, thought ours was going to be manual) - All powerpoints and lights in - Caesarstone bench in - Kitchen sink in Very happy with the speed of the progress, just hope the little fix ups later, don't take too long. I can't wait to get in for the first inspection! Hopefully thats not too far away.
