Well done on being under budget!!! http://msarebuilding.blogspot.com.au/ Re: Porter Davis homes 7579Jul 12, 2013 12:45 pm ftdt7882 MummaDJ ftdt7882 Hey guys. Popping my head in here after signing our contract. Which took 5 hours because drawings were wrong, some things weren't included from our colour selection documents etc. There were still a few things left after doing all the revisions but we are doing those as PCV's. Anyway... can anyone tell me if it cost extra for them to lay rectangular tiles in a 'brick lay' pattern instead of 'straight lay'? thanks! Yes, we had to pay a little extra for brick bond laying, when questioned we were told something like there is a little more wastage. Thanks. I am fairly certain I had brick lay in our original tile quote, but our updated one has come back as straight lay. Don't have the original one with me today! Can't remember, too much stuff going on!!! hi, we had our contract yesterday and it went for 5.5 hours! sheesh! such a long time, but we weren't leaving til everything was correct. We didnt feel presured to leave though, so that was good. Laying the bricks that way is about an dextra $3/meter. Re: Porter Davis homes 7580Jul 12, 2013 2:53 pm i have couple more questions 1. anyone went with window reveal splashback in kitchen? whats the std size, and what kind of glass PD uses for this window? we been quoted $800 but no details. 2. anyone here opt in for security system from PD for double storey house? are they good or better to get it installed later on? 3. heating ducts upgrade for future evaporative cooling. is it good upgrade for future profing? what size duct PD upgrade to? thanks in advance. Three options 1 Ask the liquidator 2 Find another PD customer and ask the source of their report 3 Pay for new report 3 12320 Ask for references and speak to them. If they are defensive or try to avoid the request, walk. 1 74682 I would never build with Fowler homes. I built with them in 2021 and till date maintenance issues are pending.
