Re: Building in Spring Farm Riverside - Stage 51 103Jun 25, 2013 1:34 pm We have Piera, she has been really good so far with everything. Re: Building in Spring Farm Riverside - Stage 51 105Jun 25, 2013 1:39 pm Yes we are at the submission for approval as well. Re: Building in Spring Farm Riverside - Stage 51 107Jun 25, 2013 1:43 pm Congrats dan_cristy!! That's so exciting!! We are at Stage 3 as well...looks like our builds will be happening around similar times! Re: Building in Spring Farm Riverside - Stage 51 108Jun 26, 2013 3:08 pm Yes hopefully Riverside2012, maybe we will see each other down there when things start to happen on the ground. Does anyone know what is going on with this bushfire prone issue? Our builder tells us we need a bushfire certificate for lodgement of house plans with the certifier. Council tells us the developer should be able to provide us with the independent bushfire report they would have had done to assess what lots are or are not bushfire prone. The developer says they aren't sure if they have a report done for stage 51 and will get back to me on Thursday. It seems like we are going around in circles and this is likely going to delay us further or cost us more if we go ahead as a bushfire prone block of land. What are other people experiencing on this issue? Re: Building in Spring Farm Riverside - Stage 51 109Jun 26, 2013 3:13 pm When te blocks were being sold off i do remeber there being a couple of blocks on the plans that were bush fire prone blocks.... Cant remember what ones they were.. Surely the sales office in spring farm should still have it on the plans board..... We had to sign off on a PCV yesterday to get the certificate????? Have you done that???? Seems we cant take a trick right now..... Re: Building in Spring Farm Riverside - Stage 51 110Jun 26, 2013 3:22 pm No not yet. They were quick to say there would be no charge but that is for the certificate. It is highly likely if we agree to it being bushfire prone that a host of changes to our house will be required which will delay things and most definitely cost us more to get it approved. I will wait and discuss it all with Colin from Cornish group tomorrow. I guarantee that the display boards in the sales office do still have what is and what is not bush fire prone. The only way they could have out that on was if they had a report, I will be informing Colin of this tomorrow. Getting a bit tired of the run around and incompetence from all parties at one stage or another. Re: Building in Spring Farm Riverside - Stage 51 111Jun 27, 2013 6:46 am Yeah us too Dan_cristy...Seems like this build is never going to happen... We need to be in by Christmas but that aint going to happen and there is nothing we can do about it.... Has the builder said they are having issues getting the certificate??? Im sure there was also something in the land contract when we exchanged that stated we were not in a bushfire prone area... Maybe we should have a look at that or ask our conveyancer.... Re: Building in Spring Farm Riverside - Stage 51 113Jun 27, 2013 1:17 pm Not yet. I am waiting to hear back form Colin today.
