Not sure what you can do about it now though its built... Re: How high is your slab? 8Jul 11, 2013 11:03 pm Lurgen JazzyJess Are you talking slab or footings? I'm talking about the part of the house base upon which the bricks are laid. I think this is technically called footings, although they are an integral part of the same piece of concrete. Either way, I mean the part of the photo where concrete is visible well below the brick-line. I didn't know footings and slab are ever together and I'm scratching my head about where the damp-proof course goes. Anyhoo I see your problem, what do people do, just plant something in front? Re: How high is your slab? 9Jul 12, 2013 8:16 am We are having our block built up to 50mm below that line. I have the landscapers in here right at the moment with the bobcat. Yeah good points! Leaning towards Option 3 to get a bit extra space in the cabinets but not going too crazy high (and expensive). Would require a mini… 13 40079 It will be neat but you won't have much freeboard. At least they are not weep holes. Are you in a high intensity rainfall region? The regulatory slope is only required… 3 8381 Thanks for the insights, that makes perfect sense, and yeah, I will be leaning on the experience of the excavator operator entirely. 6 16373 |
