A waffle pod slab does not go with maple syrup. My building thread https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=53000 Re: Vinyl planks? (timber look floors) 33May 27, 2013 10:53 am Ours look great - and seem to change "colour" (depth, grade) - ie morning, noon and night. Depends on which direction you look at them. At night they look best - with lights on. Re: Vinyl planks? (timber look floors) 35May 30, 2013 9:12 pm dexx Ive only looked at Karndean flooring before. Do any of you have recommendations as to any better value for money? ie hard-wearing verses cost? Allure Plus planks are $49 but because they are eaay DIY and can tolerate going direct over concrete, timber ans even some tiles floors without much (if any) floor prep, they actually work out to be less expensive than traditionally installed ones and because they have a lifetime residential warranty they are better value for money ! Easy Re: Vinyl planks? (timber look floors) 36Jun 05, 2013 7:05 am Our Gerflor planks went in yesterday & I love them! Would definitely recommend to anyone considering timber look flooring options. Installer said they sell everything & he tries to convince everyone to put them in as they outperform anything else on the market. Re: Vinyl planks? (timber look floors) 37Jun 05, 2013 4:03 pm Just a question do they lay anything under the planks first?? we were looking at the vinyl planks today and they sales guy told us they lay them straight over the concrete slab. they reason i am wondering as they are so thin and then when it meets the tiles in the laundry and entrance there will be a minor step. Re: Vinyl planks? (timber look floors) 38Jun 05, 2013 4:32 pm The ones here were laid straight over the concrete slab. They are quite thick. The slab needs to be smooth without pits or raised bits otherwise you will get wear spots. Re: Vinyl planks? (timber look floors) 39Jun 05, 2013 5:11 pm Ours were also laid straight over the concrete. The installers made sure the finish was perfect before laying & put a trim across bathroom/laundry entrances so that difference in heights was not an issue. Would not recommend DIY. Looking at the Boston Oak ones, it appears that the colour varies significantly… 0 11481 Engineering timber is certainly a less fuss option, times cheaper to supply and install and better withstands humidity. 1 16367 |
