Saw some lovely frames in spotlight today - it's good because they have the exact same frame in a few different sizes all with the matt board surround. Just hate the wooden stands on the back. I got my shadow box frames in assorted sizes from target but they aren't doing them anymore (unless they've come back). Ill have 16 assorted shadow box frames for sale at end year but that's prob too long for you. I have 32 white shadow box frames for new house photo wall. Exciting hehe Could try ikea but it adds up quickly. Otherwise if your happy with different types frames you could go $2 shops. Or op shops then spray paint all same colour. I collected bunch frames from op shops and sprayed painted white for my daughters room. This is what will be hanging on her wall once we move (but less wonky haha) Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: Photo wall help! 6Jun 02, 2013 2:41 pm Oh LeanneR for a moment then I thought those were on a wall and the wonky-ness was making my eye twitch A agree, just go find frames you like and spray paint them. I think buying a 'kit' of matchy-matchy frames takes away the effect. - MrsT Brought first house in 2008. Renovated...a LOT. Built in 2013. Our thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=67954 Re: Photo wall help! 7Jun 02, 2013 3:06 pm Oh gosh now. My OCD would go crazy if they were hung like that. I make DH get spirit level out and everything when we hang things haha This is my current photo wall. I think matchy frames work as long as your arrange them well. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ I think matching frames perhaps look bit more modern than different frames so depends on look you're wanting Re: Photo wall help! 8Jun 02, 2013 5:03 pm MissEm Does anyone know where you can buy kits for photo walls?? Have seen some on eBay but not sure I'd risk it, don't want cheap rubbish frames. There is a company called the picture wall company which looks awesome but no international shipping as yet I see the supplier you want to use is in the US. I recommend the services of http://www.priceusa.com.au/. I've used them to buy hiking and photography gear from US suppliers. Basically they handle the shipping for you. It's not too expensive. Are they just scrap booking paper or fabric in the frames???? They would be perfect for my DD's room as DH wont let me paint it Modified Fernside 38 Rawson Homes Blog: http://www.thehousethatmatandjenbuilt.blogspot.com Build Thread: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=60501 Re: Photo wall help! 10Jun 12, 2013 1:49 pm I ordered bunch of fabric that's going to be used in her quilt that's being handmade Re: Photo wall help! 11Jun 12, 2013 5:32 pm Gorgeous!!! Love those colours together, perfect for a girls room I've been planning a gallery wall of B&W kids photos for ages in my lounge room, but am struggling to find the right frames too. I want black with matt, and about 8x10 opening (maybe larger). The back frame can't be too 'heavy', either. IKEA frames are pretty cost effective, but their openings aren't standard photo sizes (I believe, but could be wrong), but their frames are too thick. Mine will be all the same size, and be about 4 photos wide and 3 deep (I think!). Similar to this look: I'll have a closer look at Target and Spotlight next time I'm there. Henley - Wilshire Mk 3 ... I also looked at Harvey Norman who are advertising 20% off these frames at the moment, and discovered they also have them in Officeworks, but unsure of their full range. I'm going with 9 frames arranged in a 3x3 format and the photo size fits 11x14 inches. I just have to find a good pro lab that orders online and ships out for a reasonable price and I'm done! https://www.ur1.com/p-1130-gallery-15x1 ... ening.aspx? ....found them online, but cheaper at Harvey with 20% discount... Photo colour comes out really nice (unlike cheap places like snapfish etc) Cut out paper that's same size as frames and stick them on the wall to choose layout etc Re: Photo wall help! 15Jun 17, 2013 10:56 pm LeanneR I use RGB digital for my photo orders. Recommended by photographer friend. Photo colour comes out really nice (unlike cheap places like snapfish etc) Thanks Leanne! I have had 2 photographer friends recommend RGB Digital to me as well. Mine are all B&W, so not worried about colour representation (or MIS-representation!), just as long as they don't have a coloured hue and are true B&W. $6 each for 11x14 is pretty reasonable, other places wanted almost $14. I have already cut out templates of paper to work out the size frame, the spacings between and whether I went for 9 or 12 photos. We'll be using a laser level as well. I 'hope' to have it done within the next 2 weeks....but might be wishful thinking Henley - Wilshire Mk 3 ... I love my house!! Box of 8 assorted shadow box frames. They were discontinued so were $13 a box haha. I got 4! If I didn't have them I'd def get those freedom ones Re: Photo wall help! 20Jun 20, 2013 10:08 pm Love bargains like that Leanne!! Got curtains from freedom for $5 and it was buy one get one free!! Unbelievable - 2 pairs of eyelet curtains for $5 and they had a heap. Got some good blockout ones for $13.95 as well (buy one get one free!)...looks like they might have some more sales this weekend too if anyone is interested (melville store As for the frames havent used mine yet. I tried to take a pic but this comp is being a pain so there are: 3 x 10x15cm frames (no mounting) 2 x 15x15cm frames (mounted to fit 4"x4" photo - i.e. white mounting border edge thing inside...if that makes sense!! This can be removed though) 3 x 13x18cm frames (mounted to fit 3"x5" photo) 2 x 20x25cm frames (mounted to fit 5"x7" photo) They are a nice simple white frame - I thought they were good value at around $5 a frame....
