Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Feb 02, 2013 11:25 am Hey Guys I thought I would have a go at a house blog topic as I have been quite fond of reading about other people's experiences. This is my second build, which is currently underway (the slab is down). My first build was with HomeStart in Bertram (my current location). I chose the Emerald by EasyStart for it's cost effectiveness and simplicity, I made a decent amount of upgrades prior to the contract signing and again at PreStart. I couldn't upload an image of the original floorplan, but it is available on the EasyStart webpage. Here are images of the upgraded floorplan and electrical floorplan Upgrades Include: TriLock entry handle Double shower Upgraded basins to Ensuite and Bathroom EssaStone to Ensuite and Bathroom (It came standard in the Kitchen as a promotion) Extra bench space (Kitchen) Robe in Bed 3 moved out under the eaves Living area tiling in lieu of vinyl I paid extra to the carpet supplier for higher quality carpet Gas Point in the Alfresco 900mm Oven in lieu of 600mm (Rangehood and Cooktop were 900mm) Upgraded elevation windows Extra powerpoints and a couple of conduits The block is located in Parkland Heights and is 450m2. The house itself is 175m2 so I will have a lot of backyard DIY landscaping to do I'm looking forward doing a few things myself at completion, some of which I wish I had of done myself with the first build, such as; paving, painting, shed building, patio/pergola etc. I'm enrolling in a few mini courses at Polytecnic West I will upload a picture of the slab soon as well as keep you all up to date with progress through to completion. Any questions asked I will be happy to answer Re: Building in Baldivis - Emerald by EasyStart (Summit) 3Feb 02, 2013 5:29 pm great design looking forward to following your build huge study nook Re: Building in Baldivis - Emerald by EasyStart (Summit) 4Feb 02, 2013 11:47 pm Hello fellow parkland heights member hehe Re: Building in Baldivis - Emerald by EasyStart (Summit) 5May 17, 2013 3:42 pm Posting to follow Our thread: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=64272 Purchased land August '12 Titles Jan 27 '13 Prestart - Jan '13 go upvc window frames ensure insulation under colorbond. not just sarking, lighter color roof also not sure if you have seen this viewtopic.php?t=5823 last couple of pages… 4 110587 Even if it's not being sub-divided and you want to keep it as Torrens title, you will still need to talk to a town planner or Council themselves, to see if they will allow… 1 11039 |
