Saw it on a display home of another builder (would have to look through my photos to confirm where), and do not believe we will have an issue with white silk finish and ABS edging. Our build: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=64705 Re: Porter Davis Upgrades and Costs 128May 12, 2013 8:20 pm Yeah, I haven't noticed a problem at any display with polar white silk and abs. I'm no expert though lol I tell ya, so sick of people gasping when I say white kitchen! Building the Porter Davis Dunedin 29 maybe, thinking of forfeiting deposit and going with CH or UE Re: Porter Davis Upgrades and Costs 129May 12, 2013 8:22 pm Really Mumtomonkeys? White kitchens look great and won't date. You can't go wrong! Glad you didn't notice any issue with the abs edging. I won't rule out the silk finish... Our build: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=64705 Re: Porter Davis Upgrades and Costs 130May 13, 2013 9:49 am I know meowsy! It's the whole cleaning issue. I figure any kitchen gets dirty, with white you can see it and get on to t straight away. Does anyone know how much the toilets with te hidden cistern are? Building the Porter Davis Dunedin 29 maybe, thinking of forfeiting deposit and going with CH or UE Re: Porter Davis Upgrades and Costs 131May 13, 2013 7:34 pm We paid about $40 for an upgrade to each of our 2 toilets. That's a good price. The ones I want have the cistern hidden so you just have the bowl and buttons on the wall. It seems ridiculous that they would restrict their customers ability to spend more money with them... anyway, my rant is over. I'm so disappointed I had such high regard and expectations and that's diminished since my visit to hopetoun. Compared to other volume builders, their selection showroom is very poor, to say the least. I'm waiting on my SC to get back to me. Been waiting over a week, she's either got appointments, is in meetings, or simply isn't addressing my concerns. Honestly, pretty close to cutting my losses Total downer Funny mine is the other way around my SC is still helping me get answers because my BC only knows one word, if she can be bothered replying, and it's "no", "no we can't" , "no we don't". I have learnt from previous builds you just have to work the system and go around roadblocks. If you want the house enough, you either put up with it, work around it, or cut your losses. Depending what range you are building there are different suppliers. For example, Ask who the plumbing supplier is, then check out their website and tell PD what you want. It maybe more expensive because they do not get deals on all products but at least then you can work out if it is worth the cost. Hope it gets better for you Three options 1 Ask the liquidator 2 Find another PD customer and ask the source of their report 3 Pay for new report 3 12954 Looking to tile the facade pillars rather than rendering.
