Help :) 4May 06, 2013 2:41 pm If you have a cupboard next door to your fridge - you can put the water tap in there (will require a small hole drilled through for the water pipe. You'll never see the pipe and fridge can be flush. Don't forget - fridges need room around them to circulate air. If you want your fridge to be flush - you'll need at least 1000 deep (where standard cupboards are 600mm). This might start to look a bit funny IMO sorry. Re: Fridge Recess size? Help :) 5May 06, 2013 11:10 pm It depends on what model samsung fridge you are looking at. There is a really nice frenchdoor fridge with freezer draw at the bottom and ice/water and it fits in a standard fridge space. Re: Fridge Recess size? At the bottom of the cupboard is the tap and the fridge’s filter so changing it doesn't require pulling the fridge out. As to the size of opening, unfortunately it’s a case of selecting your fridge before the build, decide how you want it to sit (e.g. doors flush or proud of cabinetry, being able to open the doors completely or just to 90deg, etc) and then refer to the fridges manual for recommended opening size. ----------------------------------------------- http://pab34newdigs.blogspot.com.au/ ----------------------------------------------- Re: Fridge Recess size? I've been looking at Samsung fridges and they all looked huge. Help :) 8May 07, 2013 6:38 pm Our fridge space is 1000mm and we have a 750l Westinghouse French door with ice/ water dispenser. Water tap is higher than fridge so no issues there. Just make sure you have enough depth for the fridge you want, so it doesn't stick out more than you want. But the fridge will stick out for just the doors so you can open them. Help :) 9May 07, 2013 9:12 pm Im pretty sure its the 639L Samsung 3 Door Fridge SRF639GDLS. Depth is 774 including the doors. I have the model number on hubby's ipad but he is away at work at the moment and has the ipad with him. Will double check tomorrow for you. Re: Fridge Recess size? Help :) 10May 07, 2013 9:34 pm We bought the 684L double door samsung fridge and its 73cm deep and our fridge panels will be 60cm deep so plenty of room for the doors to open, might ask for the panels to be slightly deeper though but not sure if that would look odd next to a 60cm bench? I think I know which fridge you are talking about which is almost a metre deep...my bf wanted that one but I said no haha We got the plumbing and the power point to be put at 2m high so that they are above the fridge where the overheads are as the fridge overheads don't go all the way back to the wall, there is a void so nice and easy I had a similar issue with my fridge not too long ago. It wasn't the same model, but the symptoms were pretty much the same: the compressor would start and then stop… 3 8908 1 1993 |
