Here's what we chose. Basically outside is black/white/silver theme, internal is a brown theme, also most things are from builder's standard range. Exterior: Bricks: Austral, Urban One Range, Silver Gutters and Garage Door: Colourbond, Monument Roof Tiles: Bristile, Designer Range, Magnum Fascia: Colourbond, Shale Grey All Windows: Dowell Aluminium sliding, Black Front Door: Corinthian, Madison Range, PMAD101 with matching sidelight and obscured glass Front Door Colour: Wattyl Crimson Queen (red!) Porch, driveway and alfresco area will be exposed aggregate concrete initially with a black pebble through it (eventually though the porch and alfresco will be getting a deck on them) Interior: Floors Tiles for Wet Areas: Millenium Stone (from Complete Tiles in Brisbane) Carpets: Dark Brown (our biggest upgrade - a nice soft carpet) Bathroom and Ensuite Wall Tiles: standard white Feature Tile in showers: Lunar Stone (also from Complete Tiles) Wall Colour throughout: Wattyl Alabaster (will do feature walls ourselves later) Celing, architraves, cornice, internal doors and door trims: All plain white Kitchen/Bathroom/Ensuite bench tops: Polytec Laminate, Aspen Stone Kitchen Lower Cupboards/Bathroom/Ensuite cupboards: Polytec Laminate, Shannon Oak Kitchen Upper Cupboards and Kickboard: Mountain Pepper Kitchen Splashback: A brand new large red tile from Complete (so new they hadn't put it on the shelves yet) Window blinds: Suntex vertical blinds, Elegance range, Jarrah colour (they clash a little with the outside but will be replaced at some point with proper curtains or shutters) Floor and bathroom feature tile can be seen here: http://www.pathdevelopments.com.au/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=114&Itemid=199 Also we did have the option for free of making the bathroom cabinets different colours but we decided not to And even though we've chosen the colours we've still got to go to the kitchen suppliers and determine the final layout and tapware of both the kitchen and bathrooms I think that's all ![]() ![]() After 2 false starts, a year living overseas, two more world trips and 3 years of uncertainty we are now starting the build process again - hopefully for real this time! Re: The MuzzMansion 31Jun 12, 2013 1:03 pm Excitement plus!!!!!! ![]() ![]() Since my last post we have been and done the kitchens and plumbing selections. All up with all the extras we have spent around $5000 on upgrades on top of the purchase price (mainly carpets and plumbing). In the kitchen we went with pot drawers almost everywhere with soft close drawers so that added on a bit. But even more exciting is that we have been approved by the council, and that the slab should be going down next week depending on the weather!!! So we should definitely be in by Christmas ![]() ![]() ![]() After 2 false starts, a year living overseas, two more world trips and 3 years of uncertainty we are now starting the build process again - hopefully for real this time!
