Re: Our Hickinbotham Build - Bluestone, Mt Barker 11Apr 28, 2013 11:07 pm Bathroom, ensuite and laundry tiles most likely, haven't really seen what is in the bronze range properly, but I do like the larger, glossier ones Taps and basins as well. Then I'll put the rest towards timber slat blinds and the flooring. Hubby has the landscaping covered, and Hickies are doing the paving for our driveway, the alfresco slab (we'll just tile it after handover) and perimeter paths. I didn't get the perimeter paths or driveway done last build and it was such a pain, so I said that this time I was getting it done pre-handover! Haha have fun with the hell that is tile choices! We had a look in mind, the original pic i posted at the start of this thread was of flooring we saw in a Rossdale display home and really liked. The mixed wood type will allow us to blend a few lighter and darker woods within the place. I'm not excited for tiles.... i'm daunted and confused! We cant seem to settle on a colour. Then when we pick a colour a feature tile that we like wont match, so then we go back to square one. Then my brain hurts. I convinced him to join the board club and now I am actually considering tiles because of the dog haha... The bathroom tiles we like are a really light tan porcelain too so my brain is working overtime! As now considering to ditch my lovely greys and just go warm browney tones Siteworks 8/11 Slabbed 19/11 Our Thread: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=65703 Re: Our Hickinbotham Build - Bluestone, Mt Barker 20May 07, 2013 2:26 pm oh my!! Scott does the same thing!! I try and say that greys are blue/cool based and browns are red/warm based tones. But, no... hahahaha well real timber floorboards can dent a bit, the laminates are really durable and scratch resistant for pets and so is the Bamboo. We are going for the slightly distressed ones, so if there are any nicks or scratches it'll blend in. Scott mentioned tiles the other day... Whilst i love them, I just dont want to go down the road of changing YET AGAIN! Its like a domino effect... you change one thing, it starts to affect all your colour choices! Its no secret that I love warm browny tones, so I think it'll all look fantastic, but I love charcoals and greys too! It just sucks that you cant mix both... but you cant! This all makes a lot of sense. I guess when you talk to a builder who butters up everything to look very polished, you get to start believing… 7 19163 of course there are legal avenues. You've already mentioned it. Sue them. I find it odd that lawyers wouldnt be willing to take on the case, given CCT evidence and… 1 24210 "Losers" "humanity" "off time" "your" "top notch" "love symbol" Sounds like ponzo is done using other people's toilets 36 24418 |
