Going to get a few quotes for timber, but possibly Unique Timber Floors - also in Sunshine I think or maybe it was Old Geelong Road (west somewhere anyway ) My karma ran over your dogma Re: Any Carpet and Timber Flooring Installers in Melbourne 6Sep 04, 2008 5:12 pm Great Haywgl
Do let me know how you go with carpet selections and if you come across someone who can just install them, the carpets that i have chosen at *** are just amazing and i love it and also at much cheaper prices than others. will try to go to couple of flooring places during the weekend and see how we go. Re: Any Carpet and Timber Flooring Installers in Melbourne 7Sep 04, 2008 5:23 pm Will do
Not sure when to start looking at flooring, we don't start building until November and probably won't be in until April/May...I was thinking of waiting til Jan - maybe get some post Chrissy bargains? Or is this too late to leave it?? My karma ran over your dogma Re: Any Carpet and Timber Flooring Installers in Melbourne 8Sep 04, 2008 5:42 pm i think it really depends
You are right when you say that you may even be able to get some chrissy bargains late december early jan. But then, i wanted to know the total that i would be spending so i went on and got the quotes earlier so that now i know what i will be doing. even chose my wall colour and kitchen colours by keeping the tomber floor colour in mind, was easy for me to do it that way and i feel more confident about my colour selections now. But again, teher is no harm to start looking around, once you are over the contract stage with builder, because really from contract till start of construction, you might not have much to do, so this is another thing thatkeeps you occupied and you dont lose the excitement. We're getting ours through them. I had them lay carpet in a previous property as well and they did a pretty god job - to my inexpert eyes anyway. Re: Any Carpet and Timber Flooring Installers in Melbourne 12Sep 04, 2008 9:24 pm Yes, they seem to have HEAPS of carpets in a big warehouse all in big rolls.
We were steered towards a particular one that was on special and apparently good quality according to the sales guy, they didn't have the exact colour we wanted but we were happy with a lighter one. They will cut off samples for you so don't be afraid to ask for lots, then take them home and mull them over (and post pictures of them for us ) Maybe take a pen & paper too as they don't write much on the back of them for you to remember what each one is made of etc. Re: Any Carpet and Timber Flooring Installers in Melbourne 14Dec 11, 2008 9:18 pm We are moving in april but we are already looking for a good flooring. I am for a wool twist carpet in the bedroom and wood flooring in the rest of the house.
I think it is never too early to look for good flooring. That is the first thing you need in the house! Re: Any Carpet and Timber Flooring Installers in Melbourne 15Dec 12, 2008 3:44 pm homeishome when are you looking at getting it done ? I cant help with the timber but i could with the carpet.
I will be in melbourne sometime mid to late jan for 2 weeks doing a new police station down there. Would be happy to install your carpet before or after this before i come back. If you want some more info let me know Re: Any Carpet and Timber Flooring Installers in Melbourne 17Feb 04, 2009 10:03 am Hi there,
I am a professional carpet installer (carpet layer), and have an excellet track record of exceeding the customers expectations. I am extra fussy, yet fast and extremely reliable. Your satisfaction is my only goal. I have another guy who works with me....he was an apprentice but stayed with me after finishing his apprenticeship as we get along really well and he is fast becoming known to have the same qualities as myself in the field. Companies love employing our services as they know they are guranteed to please their clients with our work, therefore we are normally very very busy (too busy!). Going to get a few quotes for timber, but possibly Unique Timber Floors - also in Sunshine I think or maybe it was Old Geelong Road (west somewhere anyway ) We went thru Western Dist in McIntyre Road, Sunshine for carpets, tiles, vinyl - you name it - if you purchase the stuff on the floor that they buy in bulk and store on site, it's very competitive. You really won't find cheaper anywhere, that's where the builders go too. They supply, fit and install. I don't know if they will install your carpet. A thankful person is a happy person. Better off in a well known, reputable company... If you get bad service...Speak to the right person to get the job corrected... VICTORIA police get their carpet from you in Bathurst NSW? 2.You come down from NSW to lay it? 3.It will take you more than 3 day's to lay it? Just a carpet layer's opinion! Engineering timber is certainly a less fuss option, times cheaper to supply and install and better withstands humidity. 1 15904 Anybody know any good and reasonably priced Air conditioning contractors/companies that could install a ducted air conditioning system in the Central Coast NSW for a small… 0 8991 1 15752 |
