Hubby and I have finished bricking up the sideway garden bed. Now this weekend hopefully hubby will get a chance to render it. (thats one thing I just cant do and wont get on my resume.lol) Ro the garden bed that higher, that will become a fernery with a place for all my broms to call home. A lean to will cover that. Then on the lower garden bed, will have a couple of water spouts coming out of a merbau screen, pouring into a pond below filled with plants and goldfish with bamboo either side of that water feature. Sort of hard to explain. Then nice lighting along path and uplights into the garden, lay the pavers for the path and rock and done. only will take the next 10yrs.lol Looking from front to back onto alfresco. http://i205.photobucket.com/albums/bb303/Rudolf24/DA902C17-EA84-409F-8FBC-64A768EAB924-5522-00000251A4B9DEAF_zps256fec57.jpg Looking from alfresco to front http://i205.photobucket.com/albums/bb303/Rudolf24/DCFE3D19-3918-4E0E-89CF-FEA7BA83615A-5522-000002519F932746_zps84db1de3.jpg http://i205.photobucket.com/albums/bb303/Rudolf24/A74301EC-DD76-44DA-ADDE-D7D3676BEFE7-5522-00000251984D6993_zpsa5aee0ee.jpg Forrester 43sq We have our keys (3/6/11) Now it's time to decorate (that's the fun part.lol) https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=37598 Re: The Gilletts crazy dream- side garden bed all bricked up 413Jun 03, 2013 12:04 pm Ok updates... I am doing the same thing as you finishing off on rooms that I could not at the time of decorating find the right piece etc, as well as getting the front landscaping done, like you I have earnt many tradie points in this build and my body is still getting over it, I can hardly lift my arms today as we dug 6 post holes for front steps and hit that many rocks, bricks, plastic that the builder buried when they did the site clean and we still have 3 holes to go Site Start: 10th September, 2010 PCI : Friday 27th January, 2011. Handover: 3rd February, 2011 Build Thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=37677 Re: The Gilletts crazy dream- Finished rooms pics 419Jun 14, 2013 11:18 am Hi guys Well, the long weekend has come and gone. After a couple of days of a few drinks and practicing my dance moves with family and friends, Hubby and I got stuck into the side way before the big downpour. We finally got to get the render on and Im so glad to finally us our solid granit pavers we have had taking up room for the last 2 yrs. Damn they are heavy.lol. Now just to order some rock and soil, hook up the garden and path lighting, find a pond to fit, fill and plant out.... well there is still lots to do. But most importantly I have to choose a colour to paint the render. Hubby wants dulux monument which is the same as our exterior garage door, down pipes etc. But I don't know. Light or dark? Any suggestions? Once the rain came I dragged hubby down to Masters (Well I gave him the pick between Ikea and Masters.lol) to have a look and I was so happy to see my Crane statue tucked away from sight. I have been after it for over a yr to put in our pond but was told they were sold out and discontinued. So I grabbed it in a flash. $19 is a great price. Anyway, any ideas thoughts etc would be great from you guys. I got it down to $700 for both plus got a heap of cabnet and draw fronts thrown in as well as someone ordered the wrong colour! The bench tops are ceaser stone Nougat and panels are Classic white. Bargain buy of the century! Now hubby just needs to make the carcus out of marine ply and get draws etc built the we have a bargain beautiful outdoor kitchen.
