Browse Forums Home Finance 1 Feb 15, 2019 5:36 pm I’m new here so forgive me if this is repeated. Does anyone know of a finance company that will let you start paying the mortgage on your new build from handover? I have to sell my current house beforehand and can not afford to run two mortgages on my own Thanks Re: New home finance 2Feb 15, 2019 5:41 pm HI Matt, what you could be looking for is bridging finance - and - providing that you qualify there is a lender who can offer this where the interest is capitalised into the loan and you don't 'have' to make repayments until you sell. That said, to keep the capitalised (think compounding) interest low, you should try and contribute as much as you can along the way. Ask your friends to recommend a good broker in your area and ask them about the bridging loan from AFM/Adelaide Bank, its a good one if it suits your goals and objectives. Obviously we're only talking top level here - not advice. Happy Friday! Bec Rebecca Jarrett-Dalton Property crazy expert mortgage broker, love building new homes!
