Re: Interest rate of 4.39% 22Mar 17, 2017 10:32 pm Its not all about the rate. Other components should be considered to determine the best loan for you. While I can get a lower rate I wanted a Mortgage Offset Account. Got a deal which has a set discount off the standard variable rate for the life of the loan. Without a fixed rate I also have full flexibility while still getting a low rate. Bottom line is talk a knowledgable broker who can assess your situation and requirements then shop for the best deal that suits those requirements. If you speak directly with the bank they will only sell you the products they offer at the time. Hard to get a comparison without doing a lot of legwork and research yourself. Re: Interest rate of 4.39% 23Mar 19, 2017 10:20 pm Investor or owner occupied. As many mortgage brokers will say rate isnt priority compared to product if your an investor. If this is one house for life then cheapest rate is prob all that matters. In which case I'd shop around as some rates are well below 4.1% |
