Browse Forums Home Finance Re: Refinance or stick with existing bank - reno advice? 2Mar 12, 2017 4:14 pm The question comes down to two points - serviceability, can you afford the loan - and that's a huge conversation And secondly, does the loan still suit you. From that perspective you can find out quickly if the loan is competitive & still suits you, or what your options could be. You don't necessarily have to refinance, as a broker I often renegotiate with the existing lender for my clients armed with competitor knowledge. So it may be you're better refinancing, or it may be you're not, but no you don't HAVE to refinance. Rebecca Jarrett-Dalton Property crazy expert mortgage broker, love building new homes!
