Browse Forums Home Finance 1 Aug 02, 2016 9:54 pm Hi I am working in Sydney under visa 457. I have paid 10% deposit on my off plan property which I purchase in blacktown. The property will be ready for inspection next year. I don't have enough money to pay another 10 % deposit which is due next year. Can the bank borrow me up to 90%? Re: Can visa 457 borrow up to 95% of the property prices? 2Aug 03, 2016 1:19 am Depending on your circumstances such as job, time remaining on 457 visa, you may be able to get 90% lend. However remember you will have stamp duty, LMI to pay as well so need to allocate for that. Cheers Tom Re: Can visa 457 borrow up to 95% of the property prices? 3Aug 03, 2016 7:56 am Which bank? How much do I need to pay for LMI? Re: Can visa 457 borrow up to 95% of the property prices? 4Aug 04, 2016 2:43 am LMI all depends on loan value and the property value, and each lender has a different way to calculate it. As I said, 90% lend is dependent on whether you meet the lenders policies, but I would say Westpac would be a good place to start. Cheers Tom Re: Can visa 457 borrow up to 95% of the property prices? 5Sep 16, 2016 10:14 am Use lmi for your first property as it means you do not need to save as much. However churn the first property in a few years to get the equity for the next property with NO lmi. Re: Can visa 457 borrow up to 95% of the property prices? 6Sep 25, 2016 4:28 pm Hi Vincent. In NSW you would contact a Water services co-ordinator and they would give you advice as to whether or not… 1 16146 Ask for some kickplate to be added and also for tradies to be requested to use lanyards on tools on that side of the building.
