Hi Everyone,
Just looking for some advice regarding my credit report. We will be applying for a loan for our land soon so I obtained a copy of my credit report as my score wasn't great. Turns out I have 14 consumer credit enquiries. How many is too many, and when do they drop off my credit report? I have absolutely no other negative marks on the file, we pay our bills and debts religiously before the due date, have a perfect rental payment history and have absolutely no defaults. The reason I have so many enquiries is that where most couples share the spread of utilities and debts in their names, I have them all as my husband has only just returned to work after several years off due to health issues. So I have all of our utilities, two mobile phone contracts, car loan, and interest free store card in my name. In addition we purchase all of our furniture on our interest free store card. We pay this off well before the due date, never miss payments and then go again (sometimes with altered credit limits) once paid. I therefore have 5 enquiries just from them.
Will this be a big issue in the lenders eyes? Will they take any reasons into consideration or will they simply look at the score and not approve? My husband has a perfect credit rating. We have great wages and good savings history.
Any advice appreciated
Cheers
