Browse Forums Home Finance 1 Nov 03, 2013 10:54 pm Hi Everyone, We are looking for a bank approval for our first home and our broker has recommended us Australian First Mortgage (http://australianfm.com.au/) as a loan lender which acts as a middle man between the broker and the lender. They deal with the Banks like Adelaide Bank, Advantedge Bank and our broker is recommending the latter. But neither I have heard of AFM or Advantedge Bank and wanted to know if anyone on the forum have had any experience with any one of them? Any comments/advice will be greatly appreciated. Haroon Re: Australian First Mortgage - Advantedge 2Nov 04, 2013 11:33 am My first thought is how many Brokers does one need to get a loan ? You have one and I can't see where on earth these AFM people fit in unless they are a lender competing for your business against Adelaide Bank/Advantage Bank and all the other Real Estate lenders. If they on pass your application to another institution (Adelaide or Advantage !) then aren't they just another Broker ? and my first sentence would apply. If they are a lender in competition with others, then why would your Broker "recommend" them, is he also "recommending" Adelaide & Advantage ? AFM's role in this transaction has me a little perplexed. edit... in addition if they are in fact acting as a broker, who is paying for all these people to locate a suitable lender for you ? The lender might in the first instance, but I'd put money on it that the cost is passed on to the borrower eventually. 11 41611 Thank you. Do I use timber floorboards for stairs or do people use timber treads? Or is both the same? 6 7271 Can anyone give me any onfo on New Homes WA? Good or bad, hopefully good just need to know if my choice was good or not? Thanks ❤️ 0 8936 |
