So we would liase directly with the siteworkers instead of via the builder - not sure how this makes us "owner-builders" in the banks eyes??? In many ways that is exactly what an owner builder does. The 'builder' for the most part basically organises other trades to do the actual work, though may do some work themselves, but not always.
