Browse Forums Home Finance Re: Has anyone been in this situation? 21Jan 06, 2011 7:21 am Leni, I think there is more to the story that she lets on. I guess, more than getting the first home owners grant, she was interested to see if anything will develop with this guy. And things started to go pear shaped, when he met someone recently. She realises, it is a huge mistake to mix emotion with finances!
Re: Has anyone been in this situation? 22Jan 06, 2011 8:51 am I wish someone gave me $300K to see if a r/ship would develop. (He was just holding the property in trust for her. They had nothing in writing though. But, she had emails and electronic transfer records to prove she transferred the money to him.) Anne, settled out of court last year. He gave her $150K and she agreed to sign the settlement dead. He dragged the issue for a long time. Since she was emotionally devastated, she wanted to get away from him and the situation so, she signed the settlement. She deeply regrets signing that settlement deed today. I think, she signed that hoping for reconciliation. There were none. For no good reason, she gave away $150K. She is so bitter about it. She deeply resents him. She doesn't talk to him anymore. I hope, she grows to trust people again. Re: Has anyone been in this situation? 27Mar 05, 2012 9:17 pm That's terrible ronaldd, I'm sorry for her. It will take time but she will recover I'm sure.
