What should I look out for if faced with the issue and what are the legal bindings if any. Also what kind of costs expenses am I looking at. If you want to sign off on the second soil test before signing your contract, have a chat to your CSA . It is true that you have 5 days to cancel the contract after signing if you are unhappy. There are provisions in most building contracts also where each party may cancel given certain conditions. Most cities have some free or cheap legal services running and it may pay to take whatever you have signed down there and get their advice. Then compare what they are saying with what the builder is telling you.
