Whether you need to have the stamp duty or borrow it will be dependent on the other factors as well. We managed to buy a second property without a deposit and without stamp duty but we had a good equity in the first property and serviceability covered it without adding in the rental return. So it's going to be a decision of your chosen financial institution.
