We don't need to, could have gone anywhere but I like them, I like the lower fees, the people. Their pre approvals are quick, they explain stuff etc. They handle interest rate rises a little differently and you will them to explain that but it works for us at this stage. We are building too. Good luck Re: anyone with homestart/home loan centre? 3Sep 29, 2009 9:42 am We stared with homestart. We liked the secutity that if interest rates returned to 19% we wouldnt loose our house (we purchased our first house just after the rates started to drop). At that stage we had probably over extended ourselves, but the gamble paid off. Re: anyone with homestart/home loan centre? 4Sep 29, 2009 9:54 am Hills Guy We stared with homestart. We liked the secutity that if interest rates returned to 19% we wouldnt loose our house (we purchased our first house just after the rates started to drop). At that stage we had probably over extended ourselves, but the gamble paid off. Yeh, we like that too. It gives us more flexibility and beats trying to 2nd guess the rates and fix. Our plan is to always pay extra and get in front to easily absorb any rate changes. The big thing though is Lender Mortgage Insurance. many thousands saved in dead money Re: anyone with homestart/home loan centre? 5Sep 29, 2009 11:28 am to have gone with homestart. mine was the help low income earners borrow that little extra. which i hope to repay within the 5 years allocated. As for the LMI i find it interesting reading other homeone blogs about how much they paid. For the sacrafic of a few thousand dollars im glad they done offer it. I havent taken out the other "insurance" they offer for your loan because ive such a small amount theres no doubt in mine or my lender that i would ever be able to not pay it. I mostly like the small mortgage repayments because they dont go by interest rates. so i guess we'll benefit when they eventually go back up. homestart is not for everyone but im happy so where is everyone building? building heysen4e through SarahHomes at Milang IM THE PROUD OWNER OF DIRT house into council 22/08 Unconditionally approved 25/09 mortgage docs signed 29/09 land settled 09/10 land titled 22/10 start date about two weeks away!!! http://www.mymilangbuild.blogspot.com/ Re: anyone with homestart/home loan centre? 7Oct 05, 2009 3:16 pm Two thumbs up for Homestart from us as well. Initially we did our (Homestart) paperwork with the local bank manager, but after a not so helpful start from him, we ended up dealing directly with Lucja at HS and she was absolutely wonderful. 'Singlemum' we're not far from you - just moved from Strathalbyn to Goolwa, I still work in Strath. Milang is nice and we considered going there - but too quiet for my wife. Good luck with your build. The Centre pillar one side sits proud to the other. Can I change 2 doors into one. Please see picture. 0 2420 Hi, you've probably already resolved this, however, Commbank will probably pay the funds to you after you send evidence the work is done regardless the change in the quotes. 1 31778 |
