Browse Forums Home Finance 1 Jun 27, 2009 2:07 pm Hi All We signed our final mortgage papers last week and went to put through our application of the 1st home buyers grant and the bank advised us that we had to go an get our ID copies certified by the police as well as the first 13 pages of the HIA contract before the grant application could go through. Now we have to do more running around to organise this and they wont take in our signed mortgage papers until this is complete. Luckily we have a couple of a weeks waiting for design approval for the house that we have the time to spare for this. All of my friends who have gotten the grant did not have to do this so I was just wondering if anyone else has had to do this? We went through a broker and are banking with Westpac.
