Browse Forums Home Finance 1 May 27, 2009 8:23 pm We've just been charged a $50 Fee for "processing multiple loan drawings" and $150 "Fee for attending settlement". The person looking after us never told us these would be charged. In fact we were told we woudn't have to pay any fees as we are getting a "wealth package". I've emailed them to ask what it's but I really hope they can waive it Has anyone else been charged these fees? JL Re: Home Loan Fees I was never told would be charged :S 3May 27, 2009 8:36 pm Thanks for that. That's good to know. I just hope it was a mistake and that they will refund them. Grrr Re: Home Loan Fees I was never told would be charged :S 4May 27, 2009 9:02 pm yep, they are just normal fees... we got charged them also. Re: Home Loan Fees I was never told would be charged :S 5May 28, 2009 12:53 am Settlement Fee (Attendance) of $150 is quite common and is charged for hiring a clerk to attend the settlement to represent the lender. PS. wakeboardandy, I haven't seen you in Home Finance for ages Re: Home Loan Fees I was never told would be charged :S 6May 28, 2009 9:42 am Is it in your Terms and conditions? - If so doesn't matter whether they told you or not verbally. As long as it is written down they can charge you. Some things are worth waiting for. YAY!!! Excellent news. It seems in this game as though nothing is standard - and it never hurts to ask questions!!! JL first home loan advice 9Jun 02, 2009 4:18 pm Yes, it sounds like a really nice lender to reimburse standard fees. The biggest challenge will be if you take out a loan and then run out of money - you'll have an incomplete security and lenders do not like this so you can get stuck.… 2 19068 Is it just a report written to give to the bank initially and it is based on what and how your payments are made up for, or is it a full service where they go out and… 2 5593 That sucks! Hope it all works out. Good to move away from steel anyway for all your reasons, but it's also thermally poor. 16 17774 |
