Browse Forums Home Finance 1 May 25, 2009 8:58 am I'm a FHOG building in regional Vic. I knew the part about if you sign your contract before 1st July, you'll get $29000 but if you do it on 1st July onwards you'll get $36500... read this in the SRO website. Now, my builder is more than happy to wait till 1st July to sign because we estimated that our building contract wouldn't even be ready until at least end of June anyway. However, i have my land contract waiting at the solicitor's office right now. Should i hold off on the land contract signing as well so i will make the $36500 1st July grant? Or if i sign the land contract now will it jeopardize my FHOG contract date? Or is the FHOG contract date applies for the building contract only? and not the land contract? Anyone in the same situation wants to share some info/tips? Appreciated muchly, thanks.
