Browse Forums Home Finance 1 May 16, 2009 2:06 pm Hi everyone, I currently have an offer on a block of land and have been given two months to obtain finance as I am in the process of selling my current property. What I wanted to know is what will the bank require from the building company in regards to documentation when I apply for a loan. Do they need detailed plans of the house that I want to build. The builder im looking at going through requires a $1500 deposit before they will start the drawings and states they take about 4 weeks. Is this what the bank requires or will something else suffice. Thanks for any replies. Re: Information required by bank when building 3May 16, 2009 5:17 pm The bank does need those drawings. The builder also doesn't do a proper contract until after you pay that deposit. Do you'll need to pay the $1500 and get the papers and then go to the bank. 0 2181 We are at the stage on our build in Kilcoy, Queensland where we need to get our fencing installed but we cant get any contact details for our neighbours to give them… 0 2794 How much are you ahead in payments compared to where the build is at? Have you fully drawn down the loan? 5 9133 |
