Browse Forums Home Finance 1 Apr 05, 2009 9:16 pm Hi, we have recently gone for a couple of auctions and each time our broker has charged us $330.00 on behalf of the bank to do a house valuation. They want the money in cash or transfer and they say CBA will not provide a receipt. A) Is this normal for CBA and is the price normal? B) The broker says even if I don't go to an auction I still need to pay this. Have any of you guys had to do this? Just from speaking to work colleagues and other brokers no one has ever come across it. I don't care if the bank is charging me I just want a receipt FROM THE BANK. Do you think what I think? If I were you I'd call Colonial (CBA broker division) on 13 25 88 and check with them.
