I am thinking about changing credit cards, and want to make a well informed decision as I was hasty in choosing my current card.
Can anyone advise or recommend any of the low rate cards on the market?

Many have these charges tacked on, so look out for them: account keeping fees payment handling fees STEEP late fees introductory rates etc. So take those into consideration Re: credit card rates 4Feb 27, 2009 2:24 pm 'Best card' depends on your usage - if you pay things off over time, the interest rate is relevant, but also watch out for other catches as Hellman mentioned.
I have a credit card with no annual fee, the biggest single feature for me, I don't spend much on it so rewards systems do nothing for me and I have no idea what the interest rate is - irelevant to me as I never pay interest, always pay balance in full every month. Re: credit card rates 5Mar 02, 2009 3:19 pm Thanks for the replies. I am paying off an amount on my card at this point, so i do pay interest. The card I'm looking at is a new low rate card by Aussie. it has an interst rate of 9.99% for 12 months.
Thanks for the site, zonk, it was good to compare. It has the Aussie card listed at it's standard rate, which is 11.74% after 12 months. Has anyone had any experience with aussie? |
