Who they use . How do you rate the services you receive . Are the branches convenient to you .(there one achilles heal in my opinion) Do they have convenient ATM's . Would prefer west sydney as one with branches in the sydney CBD only is of no use to us ... not a credit union - but I bank with Citibank using their Citibank Plus product - everything is done online and you can use any ATM without charge. No fees if you direct credit your salary into the account. phone service is excellent but no branches in the west. (I haven't had any need to actually see them in person about anything since their phone line is so good) After 4 years - we're in! At the moment we are leaning towards Community First Credit Union , it looks like most people on here use the big 4 ... During that time I never had any problems with them and, on that basis, would be happy to recommend them.
The only disclaimer being that I left them about two years ago due to relocation so my recommendation isn't current; however based on the culture as I knew I doubt it would have changed too much and Penrith is right in the middle of their target region! Thanks for that , as i didn't know that they used to be the water board cu , i will ask my cousin and her hubby as they both used to work for the water board . I've always used citibank for transactions/savings - have an existing westpac c/card. I don't really mind who we bank with since almost all our transactions usually are online. After 4 years - we're in! I don't like putting all my eggs in one basket either.
