We were told to speak to electrician on our job directly at the time. That way we can pay him privately. Has any of you got an idea how much to allow for this?
We spoke to one person who is building with the same builder and they said the electrician wanted to charge around $65 per extra. Does this sound about right. We ended up meeting with the electrician and paying them cash. Through the builder they were charging us $83 per indoor double power point. Paying cash directly to the electrician we were charged $50 per internal double power point and $90 for a double outdoor powerpoint. If you already have a contract, is the inspection cost stated in there? If not they would be forced to issue you a variation which you could of course object to. 12 25866 So I'm just reading up on this ecosystem of lights.
