The cover was glass. I have been looking for a similar light for our recently purchased property but all covers are 'plastic' and appear to be LED, is this the new standard? If so would anyone know where to get some good quality? I have been looking at the below however reviews don't give me much confidence! https://www.beaconlighting.com.au/ledlux-sega-round-350mm-led-flush-mount-in-warm-white Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Flush Mount Round Ceiling Light Question 2Jul 28, 2019 2:27 pm TomS Hi all, first post! LED is the new standard, and thankfully so, as it is very efficient and the light is certainly much more pleasant than compact fluorescent that preceded it. With LED you should be able to get light temperature choice, and warm white (about 3000K) is preferable in a domestic situation. It’s tough to find glass these days, but you might at some high-end designer lighting stores. Alternatively, you could trawl through antique and secondhand stores or online (eBay and Etsy) looking for older glass light fitting. Most will take a standard bulb, and you could use LED bulbs (even smart ones) to get the best of both worlds. I'm looking for something similar to the below: https://www.beaconlighting.com.au/catalogsearch/result/?q=LEDlux%20sega%20round Re: Flush Mount Round Ceiling Light Question 4Jul 29, 2019 7:37 pm TomS Do you have any recommendations on where to buy either online or in-store? I'm looking for something similar to the below: https://www.beaconlighting.com.au/catalogsearch/result/?q=LEDlux%20sega%20round Apart from eBay and Etsy, which I previously mentioned, I do not. So why not buy those from Beacon Lighting? The gap can be adjusted so it's tighter. You can definitely set up corner cabinets to have the same gap as standard doors. 2 8578 The unit normally clips into a metal plate screwed to the wall, either plate is not flush, or unit not hooked in and could be hanging from the pipes partly, either might… 2 12551 Okay, then the choice is really about the build quality of the door itself which means the brand name. Sorry I can't recommend one or the other so best to rely on comments… 5 2431 |
