Personally, I think the base is too big for the table and takes up too much space; but the shade is certainly in proportion and a smaller one would look odd on that base. However, it’s not that big a deal. They are very nice lamps and certainly suit the decor of table, bed and wall colour. If I already had them (as you do) I would be happy with them as the are. Pity that size wasn’t available in cream. The two pictures where you have changed the shades over just look comical, and made me laugh out loud (sorry, but they did).
