Re: Pricing for downlights 4May 18, 2017 6:42 pm Our builder was quoting us $130 each so we decided to buy our own downlights and have someone install it later...it will be much cheaper http://buildingourhumblehome.blogspot.com Land Deposit - 20.08.2016 Land Registered - 27.09.2016 Land Settlement - 07.11.2016 House Deposit - 27.11.2016 House Contracts - 16.02.2017 House Build Starts - 10.04.2017 Building with Beechwood Homes buildingourhumblehome.blogspot.com.au Re: Pricing for downlights 5May 18, 2017 8:51 pm marshi We have been quoted $150 per downlight through our building company.. is this reasonable or expensive? What is a reasonable price ? (This includes wiring etc) My builder quoted $119 with wiring. Re: Pricing for downlights 6May 28, 2017 8:41 am You need to enquire what downlights they are using. Are they using rubbish, glarey $20 downlights, or good quality low glare $60 downlights? I'd suggest investigating a good quality downlight with good light output properties (nice colour temperature, low glare reflector) and buy your own. The builder will most likely provide you with the rubbish glarey ones, probably in an awful cool white colour temp... builders do not have a clue about lighting Building Services Engineer Renovating our 1960's modernist home in Brisbane https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=53&t=82091 |
