Can anyone give me ideas for an entrance light? I can't spend too much
any advice of what or where to look would be fantastic.
This is the display home entrance, ours will have an open study to the right, vinyl planks and different door.
View from family room
Front door will be like this but white

I think this is a lovely feature light. How high are your ceilings in your entrance?
Golights.com.au have some nice stuff also
Very different but I like it.
If you like pendants try:
http://www.fatshackvintage.com.au/http://shelights.com.au/Personally I really don't like cheap chandelier style lights. I think they look really tacky. But pendant lighting is a personal preference.
If it were my house I would not use a pendant. I'd probably go with tilt adjustable downlights or some track spots to shine on artwork etc on the walls in the entry.
Maybe some schmick wall lights even.

Not my cup of tea but it depends what look you're going for. I prefer modern minimalist/Scandinavian. Entirely personal choice though, each to their own. For a light fitting that large you'd really need quite a big room with at least 10 foot ceilings, probably 12 foot ideally.

These come in a smaller version also.
It wouldn't be something I would put in my home but I think it's lovely.
Depends on your taste as there is so many gorgeous ones out there.

Certainly true, there is something for all tastes out there
Hi there, Your house looks beautiful!
Looks like we've been suggested on this forum thread- we have some options for you if you're still looking for a pendant! Ideally, you'd want your pendant styles to be matching.
We have some suggestions for you! I can see a smidge of your kitchen benchtops pendant lights, it has a scandinavian and modern feel to it. To keep the same style I highly suggest:
https://www.golights.com.au/secto-design-seppo-koho-puncto-pendant-light-in-white-black-or-natural-45cmor
https://www.golights.com.au/tuukka-halonen-pilke-pendant-light-in-black-white-or-natural-birch-36cmI would also consider using black pendants:
https://www.golights.com.au/pendant-light-in-black-or-white-b22-45cm-gabby-oriel-lightinghttps://www.golights.com.au/moooi-random-pendant-lamp-light-cane-in-white-or-blackhttps://www.golights.com.au/foscarini-louis-reymond-allegro-pendant-light-in-black-81cmhttps://www.golights.com.au/pendant-light-in-black-or-white-e27-woven-string-shade-30cm-or-45cm-cooper-orielThe reason black was chosen: I can see from the images that you are using a black timber kitchen island pendant, to keep the home flowing it is suggested to follow through with another black/timber look for the entrance area to keep the home consistent. Lots of beautiful dark oak pieces will compliment the black features (i.e cushions and décor, as well as compliment the kitchen bench lighting.)
However which ever light you do decide to move forward with, be sure to consider your ceiling height in that space as you need to consider it is a walk way so there is constant foot traffic you don't want anything hanging too low!
If you didn't want to go ahead with any pendants, you can always add a statement by using wall lights in this entrance area on either side of the walls, for example the Modo:

Golights, that is the display house in those pics so we will have light grey walls, vinyl plank floors and I have white pendant lights in kitchen (benchtop different colour too). Thanks for the recs! I ended up buying a white pendant from a local lighting store for 1/2 price. I can return it if it doesn't look ok!
Here it is. Forgot to take pic when it was hanging at shop.

ah, didn't catch that it was a display home! No problem at all, if you do change your mind you know where to find us!
Hi. I would love this look in my stairwell. Anyone know how to achieve this with only one lighting cord in the roof. I cannot find any already set up like this and can't find a multi light plate other than a 3 spot one at Andrews light up... Any tips??
I don't think you'll find it, you'll have to buy individual fittings and they would have to be wired and installed separately. You could get a multiple mounting plate custom made but would be pretty costly
It's up, what do you think? Obviously floors aren't done yet (Blackbutt vinyl planks) and the front door paint work needs to be cleaned up.
I like it. I imagine it would make a lovely pattern when it's on
It's looking better now floors have started. Still have carpet to come.
luv it, looks fresh & inviting.. fantastic choice!
Looking fab! Love the flooring too.
