Browse Forums Lighting + Lighting Design 1 Aug 18, 2015 10:31 pm Hi My study room is 3.21 x 2.45m, and I have 2 x10w LED downlight (70mm) in the room. is that bright enough there? I just realized that it seems not enough as the other WIR is much smaller still has 2 same led light. Just thinking as I just went through the electrical plan again and found out. I can't make changes though as I have signed the contract and construction might start next month. what should I do? Also, missing out the powerpoint in the hallway, difficult for doing vacuum cleaning. Im guessing buying the cordless vacuum cleaner will do the job. what do you guy think? Re: Is 2 led light enough for study room 4Aug 19, 2015 8:02 pm It depends on how you use the room, and it may come down to placement as much as anything. If you use it as a study, you can also add in task lighting with a desk lamp. If they're not enough, it seems your best bet is to get them changed after handover. A extension cable should do the job with vacuuming. If there's an outlet appropriately placed on the other side of the hallway wall somewhere, an electrician can probably put another one in quite easily post-build. Re: Is 2 led light enough for study room 5Aug 21, 2015 3:28 pm Our kids bedrooms have 2 led downlights and I think they are plenty bright enough. I'm not sure of the specs though as it wasn't installed by us. Extension lead is an easy option for the vacuum, however we've recently got a cordless dyson and it's great. Use it all over down stairs (mostly hard floors with rugs) and on the stairs (carpet) and only bring out the corded vacuum for the upstairs which is fully carpeted.
