I'm hoping someone can help me. I'm building a new house and I'm having downlights pretty much everywhere except bedrooms and bathrooms. I've been Googling and looking up downlights but I'm still confused about brands, lumens and pretty much everything else about them
All up I need around 50 downlights and want a warm light. Being on a budget, I don't want to spend a fortune but I also don't want something that's cheap and nasty. I've been looking at the Domus DECO-13 13W LED Downlight Round Aluminium from Golights https://www.golights.com.au/led-downlig ... s-lighting but would like to hear some feedback/recommendations before buying.
So any experts out there, would you recommend these lights or would you get something else?

The Domus units are reasonably good value. I specified about 8000 of them on a large apartment complex so I hope they are ok!
A price point for a decent domestic quality LED downlight is around $25-$40 or a bit more for a nice designer one. I wouldn't touch anything that's cheaper than that. Make sure you get something with at least a 3 yr warranty.
This is purely personal taste, but I pretty much always use downlights with a white trim unless the ceiling is dark, in which case I might use grey or black. The idea is to make them blend in rather than stand out. Again, purely a personal taste thing
